Jackalope Art Fair & Craft Show Pasadena, CA

Jackalope Art Fair & Craft

First what I wore:

It was a pretty bright shiny kind of day (actually like the hottest its been in a while in Socal) and Trent did some test shots in our backyard.  Roni and I talked about wearing denim.  I found this fun denim dress at H&M, perfect for walking around Jackalope located at Pasadena’s Central Park.  Don’t forget your sunblock, a hat or parasol for shade.

Here’s what Roni wore.

What better way to kick off Spring officially by going to one of the many craft fairs located in Southern California?  Especially one in the gorgeous old town of Pasadena.  Did you know Julia Child is from there?  Yup, it’s true.  She is not from France.  Haha.

We decided we would meet at the fair.  It’s about a 45 min drive for Roni and just about an hour for me w/o traffic.  Our main goal was to catch up with our friend Jen.  She makes beautiful pieces for her  Eva Knox Jewelry line which is based in Northern California.  I was lucky enough to have Jen finish a piece for me on the spot.  She graciously helped me put it on.  The stone is Fluorite.  It is for protection and clarity.  I loved the colors and the shape the good vibes that come with it are an added plus.

Then I realized my friend Bama from my gym Max Fitness HB, would be there selling her goods from Sixth & Co.  I remembered at a Halloween event last fall she was talking about the goods she was making.  She makes these adorable and very functional blanket purses.  Great for a festival, beach day, or picnic.  You name it.

I ended up with a nice size colorful blanket.  I’m ready to use it for summer beaching or lounging poolside in my backyard.

Here are some other fun pieces from that day.

Some amenities to be aware of:

Parking $6 a day in structure, I happened to park in the Congregation Ale House lot for free and was fine under a reserved from M-F sign on a Sunday.

Portapotties.  Not glamorous but probably cleaner than the park bathrooms.  We speak from experience.

Food trucks on site including this mobile beer tap.

Doesn’t this beer tap van look refreshing?  Too bad we weren’t in the mood for a drink, we opted for the cool popsicle cart nearby.

T* w/ Moscow Mule Pop & R* w/ Lemon Raspberry Cheesecake Pop via Front Porch Pops.

This was a fun craft fair with over 100 booths to check out.  Perfect family outing or girl time afternoon.  The next one in Pasadena, CA is this fall mid-November.

Happy Spring. – T*
