Kitchen Facelift – Counter Tops

If you were able to read my previous post, you will have seen that my kitchen cabinets and counter tops were re-done last month. I wanted to give you a closer look.
First, my pinspiration.

I love the warmth of the wood tones and blues.

White counter tops are all the rage and I really thought that’s what I wanted at first.  Then I realized 3 of my neighbors all had beautiful white quartz, that my kitchen window looks out towards my beige backyard wall, that my floors have beige in them, and that maybe I’m tired of white.  Check out the fierce 90’s white tile w/icky grout.

So after much deliberation with friends and family, I decided I really LOVED the SEASHELL beige color.  Even our dog Duke chimed in with his matching ears.

The paint wasn’t easily decided especially after our painter questioned my choice of Navy, so we tried a few samples.  Eventually, we all chose the deeper brighter blue.

Or course with the switch out of the counter tops we needed to figure out our sink.  We were going to go with an apron under mount but that was going to really add to our project.  Not just the sink is more expensive but good bye cabinet doors.  Sophia and I really just wanted bigger and deeper.  But then I found this beauty at good ole Home Depot at the ready.

Now I really hate to do this to you especially since you are visiting our page and we appreciate your catching up with us.   I DO NOT at this time have a FAB photo of my kitchen.  I would go take a quickie but the lighting is bad and there are a few dirty dishes to wash up.  I promise to update with a FAB photo as soon as possible.  After choosing a brushed bronzed kitchen faucet, new disposal, ordering a sink grate and the accessories we were done.  As you can see I really LOVE navy. Check out my hat. – T*
