What to Wear in Berlin (Germany)

What to Wear in Berlin

Are you warm? Stay warm… Get inside and get warm…

These are the top 3 things said to me since I left to Berlin. The riveting response to the very foreseen “COLD” I knew we would experience… Is I am “LAYERING-UP”, Keeping warm ~ Vital, since our normal habitat in So Cal is 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Here a whopping 5 Degree Celsius, equivalent 41 degrees Fahrenheit. During the Day! (laughing) We might hit that temp every once in a long while in the middle of the night or early morning… in So Cal…

Traditionally, here in Berlin this is the average temp for a “warm day”… At least for this time of year. When we hit 6-7 Degrees, we are definitely going out on the town! LOL
Adapting to our new environment… We (myself, my son, and flatmate Kylie) are enjoying the cold. I think we could move to the No. Pacific and actually not “be DEPRESSED”!

Here’s an example of what I’d wear on any given day here:

  • Unmentionables
  • Tights
  • Leggings or Skinny Jeans
  • Cami (Body Shaper, I like to suck it in, at all times. OH! the Tights help with that too!)
  • Tank
  • Top (Long or Short Sleeve)
  • Sweater
  • Coat (today borrowed from my Russian Bestie @KatCastronovo)
  • Socks over my tights (today Urban Camouflage)
  • Scarf (Red borrowed from my flatmate @KylieMillerXO)
  • Accessories (rings, bracelets, and sometimes earrings)
  • Hat, Beanie, Earmuffs, or Head Wrap (today Hat Michael Zechbauer “Style for Men” via practically my brother Charles Castronovo)
  • Gloves (I like Isotoner, the ones with cut fingers and option to wear as mittens)
  • Boots (Aerosoles, because “boots are made for walking!” catchy tune… seriously, they won’t let you down!)
  • *I did bring Sunglasses but so far, haven’t worn them out yet.
